The Laboratories at the Maritime Institute at Sevastopol State University have been Modernized
The Maritime Institute at Sevastopol State University has upgraded the training and simulator equipment in the laboratories ‘Technologies for Electrical Installation Work on Ships’, ‘Microprocessor and Control Systems’ and ‘Electrical Engineering and Electronics’ within the framework of the project ‘Modernization of Education and the Training Facilities of the Department of Marine Electrical Equipment’.
“Thanks to the help of the administration of the University within the framework of the programme for the modernization of education at the university, the department received three new laboratories”, said Svetlana Koneva, Head of the Department ‘Ship Electrical Equipment’.
The laboratories are equipped with virtual simulators, training stands, modern sets of training equipment and, starting next year, will be fully included in the educational process. "Training in these laboratories will allow students to acquire modern engineering skills necessary for crew members of sea vessels", said Vladimir Tsaloyev, the Project Manager and a Docent at the Department of Marine Electrical Equipment.
