On the virtual site of the Russian House in Beirut, interviews are being held with Lebanese candidates to study in Russia at the expense of the federal budget. Interviews with Lebanese and Russian students are conducted by representatives of 24 leading Russian universities, including Sevastopol State University.

“Four employees of the Department for International Education and Cooperation at Sevastopol State University are participating in the selection of candidates for quotas of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation in Lebanon. The interview takes place online. The goal of the working group, that included employees of the Russian House in Beirut and the Russian Embassy, as well as representatives of leading Russian universities from Vladivostok to Crimea, is to select the best students from Lebanon who have chosen our country as a platform for their educational and personal trajectory", said the Director of the Center for International Educational Programs, Andrei Faerman.

For the first time, the working group in Lebanon is represented by eleven universities - former participants of the 5-100 Project, which are moving to the Priority 2030 Programme, that makes it possible to qualitatively select candidates in a wide range of training areas.

Since January 20, more than 580 candidates from Lebanon have submitted their applications for education in electronic form on the website of the state information system ‘Education in the Russian Federation for Foreigners’, according to the ‘single window’ principle.

So far 283 candidates have been invited to participate in interviews, that will continue until March 25. Already at the beginning of next week it will be known who the Lebanese and Russian students are, who will spend their best student years in Russia, those who will in the future maintain and develop good relations between our countries.
