Sevastopol State University and Institute of General History at the Russian Academy of Sciences have Begun to Cooperate in the Field of Master's and Candidate's Dissertations
A thematic seminar for the staff of the Institute of General History at the Russian Academy of Sciences and undergraduates at the Institute of Social Sciences and International Relations at Sevastopol State University within the framework of the implementation of a single master’s programme - postgraduate study was held at Sevastopol State University. The participants discussed the scientific directions of master's theses, thtat in the future will become the basis for Ph.D. theses.
“Our institute has a cross-section in almost all areas of general and world history from ancient times to the present. For me, as a researcher, that’s the closest thing to the spectrum of ancient history and Byzantine studies as an industry in which there are many unexplored matters. And the history of Tavrika is of the greatest interest. Sevastopol State University has enormous potential, and we hope for fruitful cooperation in the scientific and educational spheres”, said Mikhail Bibikov, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor.and Chief Researcher of the Institute of General History of the Russian Academy of Sciences,
Last year the parties signed an agreement on cooperation and the creation of the department ‘History of the Greater Mediterranean’, that will be headed by Mikhail Bibikov.
“With the support of the Institute of General History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, it is planned to implement a number of scientific projects aimed at integrating historical science and education, including the organization and coordination of scientific and educational projects within the framework of the Institute of Social Sciences and International Relations scientific direction ‘Integrated Regional Studies of the Greater Mediterranean’, explained Svetlana Rubtsova, the Deputy Director for Scientific Work at the Institute of Social Sciences and International Relations.
