Students of Sevastopol State University Will Be Able to Have an Internship at the Foreign Ministry

Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, invited students of the Institute of Social Sciences and International Relations at Sevastopol State University to have practical study at the Ministry.

“I invite students-journalists to the press centre of our Foreign Ministry. We have the opportunity to give practical study to students who study foreign affairs and translators. We are ready to accept students in Moscow, we are open for active interaction”, said Maria Zakharova during a meeting with students at Sevastopol State University.

The audience responded to the invitation with applause. Zakharova assured the audience that Foreign Ministry staff are ready to advise on university projects related to international issues and offered one of the possible projects.

“Considering that there are many foreign military graves in Sevastopol, you, as students, can take up this topic. These soldiers have families who want to know the fate of their ancestors. It would be good to make an internet project regarding this and present it. The theme of historical remembrance is very important, even if we are talking about soldiers who came here for war, ”said Zakharova.

She answered students' questions about Crimea and Sevastopol in the context of international politics, about relations with Ukraine and the West and about the features of the work of journalists and translators. The diplomat suggested that students should continue to communicate online and schedule joint seminars and conferences.

Maria Zakharova also visited the new media center of Sevastopol State University where she gave an exclusive interview to undergraduates of the Institute of Social Sciences and International Relations.

The meeting ended with a photo session.

“I’m happy to post a photo with you for Facebook.” I will publish it, you will publish it, and then we will see each other there. I do the same thing happens in Instagram. The reaction of my Western colleagues about this does not bother me at all. It is important for me that you take a positive attitude towards federal officials from mainland Russia”, said Maria Zakharova.
