A Delegation from Sevastopol State University Presented the Advanced Developments of the University at a Forum in China
A delegation from Sevastopol State University participated in the ‘International Green Development High-End Forum’ in Zhengzhou (China).
At the forum, more than 500 experts from around the world, including delegations from the Russian universities from Tomsk, Veliky Novgorod and Sevastopol, demonstrated and discussed developments that have an impact on improving the environmental situation and increasing energy efficiency in industry and the urban economy.
Representatives of the delegation spoke about the advanced developments of the university: an underwater robotic complex, digital design and product modeling, virtual and augmented reality technologies, 3D-vision and prototyping and product life cycle management systems and also presented the training facility ‘Digital Network’ of Sevastopol State University and discussed the simulation of complex systems and the creation of digital doubles.
According to Aleksey Chuklin, Head of the Department for the Organization of Scientific Research at Sevastopol State University, before the start of the forum, the delegation visited enterprises for converting biowaste into heat energy and fertilizers, manufacturing tiles with partial process automation, and a village with a treatment plant where water can be purified. The village is being modernized under the program of developing the attractiveness of rural settlements in China.
“In the framework of the visits and the ‘International Green Development High-End Forum’, the parties discussed aspects of scientific and technical cooperation, as well as the preparation of training programmes for Chinese students at Sevastopol State University”, said Sergey Dudnikov, a member of the delegation and the Director of the Institute of the National Technological Initiative at Sevastopol State University.
