Sevastopol State University and the Institute of Europe at the Russian Academy of Sciences have Signed a Cooperation Agreement
Sevastopol State University and the Institute of Europe at the Russian Academy of Sciences have signed a cooperation agreement. On behalf of the Institute of Europe the agreement was signed by its director, Alexei Gromyko, the grandson of the legendary Soviet Minister of Foreign Affairs and on behalf of Sevastopol State University it was signed by its rector, Vladimir Nechaev.
The development of cooperation is aimed at training highly qualified personnel capable of ensuring Russia's humanities influence in key regions of the Black Sea and the Mediterranean.
“Sevastopol State University plans to open a joint department with the Institute of Europe. The department will facilitate the influx of highly qualified scientists, specialists in European security and researchers of political, economic, military-political, social, informational and other problems of Europe into Sevastopol State University”, said the Director of the Institute of Social Sciences and International Relations at Sevastopol State University, Dmitry Tatarkov.
The interaction program will contribute to the development in Sevastopol of a social and humanities cluster integrated into the scientific and educational space of the Russian Federation.
“The most motivated students of Sevastopol State University will undergo internships in research laboratories and departments of the Institute of Europe, and some will be able to continue their studies at a postgraduate and defend dissertations,” said the Rector of Sevastopol State University, Vladimir Nechaev.
