Sevastopol State University Will be the First to Begin Professional Retraining in Information Security in Crimea and Sevastopol

Sevastopol State University is the first in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol to receive the right to implement a professional retraining programme in the field of ‘Information Security: Technical Protection of Confidential Information’, coordinating it with the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control.

“In the near future we will be in the register of educational organizations engaged in educational activities in the field of information security. In the meantime, we are recruiting for the first study group. Security experts are now in demand in the banking and law enforcement sectors, military and civilian industries, and in state and municipal government bodies”, said Alexander Zhuchkov, Director of the Institute for Continuous Professional Education at Sevastopol State University.

People with higher education confirmed by a document in the field of training in mathematical and natural sciences, engineering, technology and technical sciences (in accordance with the lists of specialties and areas of preparation of higher education approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia), are invited to register for the professional retraining programme ‘Information Security: Technical Protection of Confidential Information’,

The educational process will be held at the Department of Information Security at the Institute of Radio Electronics and Information Security at Sevastopol State University, that has all the necessary material, personnel, information resources and many years of experience in training highly qualified specialists in the field of technical information security.

To date, the department has trained more than 400 graduates. They received an up-to-date knowledge base and skills, thanks to which they successfully fulfill their duties in the Federal Security Service, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Federal Tax Service, Headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, commercial banks and industrial enterprises etc.

Based on the results of the training, participants who have successfully mastered the programme and passed the final certification will receive a diploma of the established form on professional retraining.
