RULES
submission, reviewing and publication of papers in
" Automation and Measurement in Mechanical Engineering and Instrument Engineering "
1. Scientific and technical papers reflecting the results of research conducted by the author (s), which should correspond to the subject matters of the journal, are accepted for publication.
2. Authors should provide original works containing reliable results of the scientific research done. When using text or graphic information borrowed from other papers, references to relevant publications are required. If the parts of the submitted manuscript have already been published, the authors should refer to the earlier paper, showing the difference between the new submission and the previous ones.
3. Submission of a paper to more than one journal is unacceptable and is regarded as unethical behavior of the authors.
4. For publication in the journal papers are submitted electronically:
• the text of the paper signed by all authors (program database file (PDF));
• the text of the paper (DOC or DOCX file);
• expert opinion on the possibility of publishing the paper content in open access (PDF);
• written recommendation of the supervisor (for graduate students, master and bachelor degree students who submit a paper without co-authors) (PDF);
• a package of figures (TIFF, JPG files with 300 dpi at least).
Requirements for the content of the article
The article submitted for publication must:
• be relevant, have novelty;
• contain a statement of tasks (problems), a goal, a description of the main research results obtained by the author, conclusions;
• correspond to the subject of journal and the design requirements (template).
The submitted articles are checked in the "Anti-Plagiarism" program. The maximum permissible level of unformulated borrowing links is up to 30% of the text of the article.
The procedure for articles submission
The manuscript of the article must be submitted by one of the co-authors who assumes responsibility for the article during its submission and review.
The editorial board accepts previously unpublished scientific articles by e-mail to the editorial office (appr.sevgu@yandex.ru) without limitation during the year and in case of a positive review includes in the next issue of the journal in the order of receipt.
Graduate students and students who publish articles without co-authors-supervisors, together with the text of the article, provide a written recommendation to the editorial board of the journal, which must be signed by the supervisor.
Refusal to publish
Not allowed for publication:
• articles that are not designed in accordance with the requirements, the authors of which refuse to technically refine the articles;
• articles whose authors do not fulfill the constructive comments of the reviewer or do not refute them in a reasoned manner.
The procedure for reviewing articles
1. The Editorial Board undertakes to maintain the confidentiality of the reviewers' personal data. It is possible to disclose the name of the reviewer at his request. The article is submitted to the reviewer without specifying any information about the authors.
2. The manuscripts of all articles submitted to the editorial office are subject to mandatory review.
3. When choosing a reviewer, the expert's publications on the subject of the reviewed work within the last three years are taken into account. The review may be carried out by members of the editorial board of the journal. Specialists with recognized authority and working in the field of knowledge to which the content of the manuscript relates are involved in external review.
4. The original reviews are kept in the editorial office for five years from the date of publication of the articles.
5. The editorial board of the publication sends copies of reviews or a reasoned refusal to the authors of the submitted materials, and also undertakes to send copies of reviews to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation when the corresponding request is received by the editorial office of the publication.
6. The review of articles is carried out on a voluntary and gratuitous basis. Reviewers are notified that the manuscripts sent to them are the intellectual property of the authors and relate to information not subject to disclosure. Reviewers are not allowed to make copies of the manuscript of the article for their own needs, as well as to transfer the manuscript in whole or in part to third parties.
7. The review procedure is confidential. The review is provided to the author of the manuscript without a signature and indication of the surname, position, place of work of the reviewer. The editorial board does not disclose information concerning the manuscript (including information about its receipt, content, review process, critical comments of reviewers and final decision) to anyone except the authors and reviewers themselves.
Review deadlines
The terms of reviewing in each individual case are determined by the executive secretary, taking into account the creation of conditions for the most expeditious publication of the article. The maximum review period is three weeks.
The content of the review
The review is compiled in a free form, with mandatory coverage of the following provisions:
• compliance with the subject of the journal;
• the relevance of the topic and the validity of the problem statement;
• the presence of scientific novelty, theoretical and practical significance of the work;
• evaluation of the main research results;
• compliance of conclusions with the purpose and objectives of the study;
• the degree of structuring of the article material;
• the quality of the article design.
If the manuscript does not meet one or more criteria, the reviewer indicates in the review the need to finalize the article and gives recommendations to the author to improve the manuscript (indicating the inaccuracies and errors made by the author). The comments and suggestions of the reviewer should be objective and principled, aimed at improving the scientific and methodological levels of the manuscript. The review is signed by the reviewer, whose signature is stamped.
The editorial board informs the author of the review result. Articles modified by the author are re-sent for review to the same reviewer who made critical comments. The article sent to the author for revision must be returned in the corrected form as soon as possible, but no later than two weeks after the author receives the review. The revised manuscript must be accompanied by a letter from the authors containing answers to all comments and explaining all the changes made in the article. The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject articles if the author is unable or unwilling to take into account the wishes of the reviewer, as well as in case of receiving an amended version of the manuscript, later than a month after receiving the first review.
In case of a negative evaluation of the manuscript as a whole (recommendation on the inexpediency of publication), the reviewer must justify his conclusions. An article not recommended for publication by the reviewer is not accepted for reconsideration. The text of the negative review is sent to the author by e-mail.
The deadline for making a decision on publication is no more than a month.
Procedure for articles consideration
1. Articles are registered in the order of receipt to the editorial office and published according to the established schedule.
2. The Editorial Board sends the article for review.
3. The Editorial Board is authorized to carry out scientific and literary editing of the received materials, if necessary, shorten them in agreement with the author or send the article for revision.
4. The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject an article that does not meet the established requirements or the subject of the journal, as well as if the recommendations of the reviewers are not fulfilled more than twice. In case of rejection of the submitted article, the editorial board gives the author a reasoned conclusion.
5. The editorial board informs the authors about the results of the review and compliance with the requirements within two weeks after the registration of the article.
6. Articles that have received a positive review are published in the next issue of the journal in the order of receipt.
